The Most Award-Winning Mexican Coffee in the World

Our most premium coffee. Our best seller. The most award-winning Mexican coffee in the world.

Our best coffee is sourced from Coatepec (the hill of the serpents). Located in the state of Veracruz, the coffee-growing tradition here is ancient and deeply embedded in the culture; in fact, Coatepec is considered Mexico’s coffee capital.

The number of international awards received by the finca where Sabroso Baile (Delicious Dance) is grown is not surprising, given the scientific approach the finca takes to its growing and harvesting. At The Mexican Coffee Company, we often talk about the quality of the land making all the difference to the coffee beans. The farmers who grow our Sabroso Baile beans take this enriched, volcanic soil and apply their expertise, the most ancestral and scientific understanding of the land and of coffee cultivation. The result is something truly remarkable. Don’t take our word for it: this is Mexico’s most internationally recognised coffee.

Winner of awards including:

• AVPA (Paris) - Gold Medal for Best Coffee of Origin 2017

• AVPA (Paris) - Gold Medal for Best Coffee of Origin 2016

• International World Quality Commitment (Paris) – Gold Award 2011

• Golden Europe Award for Quality (Paris) – Gold Trophy 2010

• World Specialty Commodities (Paris) – Golden Cup Winner 2007

• World Specialty Commodities (Paris) – Golden Cup Winner 2005

• Gourmet Marketplace (London) – Gold Medal 2004

What makes it special?

Sabroso Baile is our customers’ top rated coffee, consistently our best-seller thanks to its exquisite flavour and gentler caffeine content. The taste of this coffee is bursting with dark chocolate notes; our customers love its bold flavour with subtle sweetness. This is coffee as it should be; no bitterness, no harsh acidity, just delicious indulgence.

As with all our coffees, the growing environment and harvesting process is what gives Sabroso Baile its flavour and quality. Sea minerals, zeolites, and dolomite enrich the soil in which the arabica beans grow.

Roasted at the origin, Sabroso Baile coffee beans are a medium roast. How you prepare your coffee determines the strength; for a stronger brew, use around 15g of ground coffee (per cup) in a french press.

Care & Recommendations

Order your coffee as whole beans or ground for your coffee maker: espresso grind (ideal for espresso, americano, flat white etc.) or a coarser grind for cafetière, filter or pour over coffee. Where possible, we recommend ordering our coffee as whole beans, as they retain their freshness and peak flavour for longer (up to 6 months is optimum, after this the flavour may start to decline.) Ground coffee starts to lose freshness after around 2 months.
Our packaging is designed to offer exceptional storage for your superior coffee beans. Once opened, we recommend storing your coffee in an airtight, glass container, in a cool, dark place. We don’t recommend refrigerating your coffee.
